SpeakEasy provides route and stop announcements both inside and outside the vehicle. The announcements are made by simply depressing the foot switch and making the announcement. The outside message is recorded at the beginning of each route by pushing the exterior message record (EXT) button and announcing the route and destination. The message is played back each time the vehicle is stopped and the door is opened, and repeated 3 times, relieving the driver from having to make these announcements at every stop along their route. To disable the outside announcement, one need just push the exterior mute (EXT MUTE) button. Operator controls are located directly on the device to ensure ease of use and to maximize driver safety.
